About the John Schumacher Award,

“The John Schumacher Memorial Award was created this past year to honor the long time Park Rapids teacher, coach, and Activities Director who passed away in October 2020 after bravely fighting multiple bouts of cancer. Activities Directors from the Mid-State C0nference member schools nominated one student from each of their schools and then voted on a recipient who most embodied the qualities that Mr. Schumacher stood for- character, leadership, sportsmanship, and courage as a student-athlete.”

Congratulations, Logan!

And nicely done, Mid-State Conference. What a beautiful way to honor Schu’s legacy.
